The film depicts Kerry losing his foot in a motorcycle accident after his world title win against Ric Flair in 1984. In real life, the accident occurred two years later. Also Kerry didn't have his foot amputated until 1987 when Fritz forced Kerry back into the ring way too early in a match with Brian Adias in Ft. Worth.
The film depicts Kevin taking over from Fritz and running the business. This never happened as in real life Fritz had sold the company to Jerry Jarrett.
Kerry is seen talking to Kevin on the phone contemplating suicide since the WWF wouldn't renew his contract. In actuality, Kerry was released by the WWF in August 1992 due to his issues with substance abuse.
In the film Kevin is depicted as finding Kerry dead after his suicide. In real life it was Fritz who discovered Kerry's body.
Kevin Von Erich's wedding is seen taking place in a banquet hall. In actuality Kevin and Pam had a private outdoor wedding. For dramatic purposes, the banquet hall wedding is based on Kerry's real life 1983 marriage. The film fails to mention Kerry every being married or having children which he did in real life.
The wig "Ric Flair" wears in the film is fairly obvious.
Due to licensing with the WWE which owns the World Class Championship Wrestling logo, a generic logo was made instead.
Due to licensing, the generic bottles of beer in the film are based on Budweiser and Lone Star.
One extra is wearing an Apple smart watch during the wedding celebration scene. Apple smart watches obviously didn't come into existence until over thirty years later.
Kerry is seen in the film riding a late 1990's Kawaski motorcycle which obviously didn't exist during the time frame of the film and was released many years after he passed away.
The computer generated Sportatorium shows the Dallas Skyline south of the Sportatorium. The Dallas Skyline was actually northeast of the Sportatorium as the Sportatorium was in the "bad part" of Dallas where the homeless bums/junkies stayed.
The "party" scene at the bar has a modern Budweiser beer sign. The Miller, Busch, and Coors beer signs are the accurate logos for the time.
The ring posts at the Sportatorium are more slimmer/modern and not the accurate larger posts of the original Sportatorium. Also the ring turnbuckles at the Sportatorium remained all white until switching to red/white/blue in September 1983. Also the World Class logo was not placed on the ring skirts until September 1983.
When Kevin Von Erich is wrestling then NWA World Champion Harley Race, Harley is featured without any tattoos. Harley Race had very prominent tattoos on his forearms and shoulders, which should have been seen in the wrestling scene.
