Over the course of his lengthy career, Tom Cruise has starred in all kinds of films. He has explored various genres, ranging from romance to drama and even horror. However, he managed to find his home in the world of action, starring in some of the most iconic action films known in recent years.
His most successful work, to date, has to be the Mission: Impossible series. While audiences best know him as Ethan Hunt, there is another film series that has been regarded as his best.

Grey’s Anatomy spinoff Station 19 was canceled so late that the writer’s room had already mapped out the firefighter drama’s Season 7 storyline. “We were very surprised,” recalls showrunner Zoanne Clack, “because Disney had just moved our whole production to the Disney lot, so we figured that they were pretty invested and we would probably have a few more seasons to go. We had fleshed out a lot of what we wanted to see in the season and thought that we could tell this story on a long arc because it was such a short season and we’d tell some of those stories in Season 8. We had to reconfigure what we could tell and what we’d have to leave on the table.” Co-showrunner Peter Paige shares that having to cut many storylines “absolutely was tough. A lot of gold we left in that there river.” With the series end looming,...

Grey’s Anatomy star Katherine Heigl was once a rising star in movies and television in the late 2000s. However, her career saw a declining graph after she went on to publicly bash her movie with director Judd Apatow. In 2007, Heigl starred opposite Seth Rogen in Apatow’s comedy film Knocked Up. She had brutal criticism for the film in a 2008 interview, where she called the film sexist.

The film also starred Marvel star Paul Rudd and Apatow’s real-life spouse Leslie Mann. The director responded to the comments sharing that he expected an apology from the actress. Interestingly, Apatow earned flak from Tom Cruise’s fans for brutally trolling him while hosting DGA 2023.

You might not recognize the name immediately, but Dylan Minnette is someone whose face you will definitely remember. Aside from starring in 13 Reasons Why as Clay Jensen, Minnette has appeared in numerous television series in guest roles, such as Lost, Awake, Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy, Supernatural, Prison Break, and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Aside from that, he also appeared in the horror movie Let Me In (2010), the thriller film Prisoners (2013), the family comedy film Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day (2014), the family fantasy film Goosebumps (2015), and the horror films Don’t Breathe (2016), The Open House (2018) and Scream (2022).
But, if you’ve been attentive, you might have noticed that Minnette has not been on the screen for some time now, and it is true – the young actor quit acting in 2022 and has been focusing on his musical career with his rock band Wallows since then.

In more recent times, the first medical drama that seems to come to everybody’s mind is Grey’s Anatomy. It is now airing its 20th season, and, although not many people consider it to be as good as it was in the 2000s, there are still enough viewers to keep the show going and renewed for more years.
There are also such series as Chicago Med, or The Good Doctor, which nears its ending after becoming an internet phenomenon. However, none of them are coming close to the greatness of a scandal that prompted ABC to get rid of its 2000 medical show Wonderland.
Why Was the TV Show Wonderland Canceled?
Like almost every other TV show that isn't renewed on the network, Wonderland was officially canceled due to low ratings. What's so peculiar about this show, however, is that it wasn't canceled after just one unsuccessful season, as is often the case.

Even though it’s not the guest stars who make the show, but the regular cast, there is some magic about one-episode characters played by someone the audience knows and loves. Just like every major procedural on TV that has been running long enough, NCIS had its fair share of actors, hosts and even political figures joining the team.
Here are 8 biggest names who have joined the NCIS family throughout the years, and where exactly in the show you can find them.
Troian Bellisario
Best known for her portrayal of Spencer Hastings in Pretty Little Liars, Bellisario appeared in two episodes of NCIS as Agent McGee's sister, Sarah. Her appearance on the show before her big break is easy to explain, as Troian is the daughter of Donald P. Bellisario, the mastermind behind both Jag and NCIS.

Airing from 2005 to 2014 on CBS, How I Met Your Mother became one of the cultish sitcoms in TV history. It introduced us to five friends, Ted, Barney, Robin, Marshall and Lily, and it was the first one who was looking for love throughout the whole show.
While Neil Patrick Harris and Cobie Smulders, who portrayed Barney and Robin, are staying in the public eye, the Ted Mosby actor, Josh Radnor, is rarely seen on the big screen after 2014. Luckily, there are still some titles starring him we need to check out.
The years after Himym concluded Radnor scored one of the main roles in the period drama Mercy Street (2016 - 2017). Later he was employed as the lead of NBC’s Rise (2018), a musical drama about a teacher on his complicated journey to inspire his students to the art of theater.

The golden girl of the early 2000s, Katherine Heigl, was the reigning queen of rom-coms. The uptight, perfect-girl character with a soft heart almost came naturally to her as she portrayed different versions of the same character in a handful of beloved cult classics. The opposites-attract trope is heavily prevalent in most Heigl-starrer romances, and that makes her roles highly relatable for the audience. Heigl is best known for her role as Izzie Stevens on Grey’s Anatomy, for which she won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2007. The actress has starred in

10. Jack Shephard from Lost
Sometimes, in an attempt to give a character some personality flaws, writers outdo themselves and turn an initially likable character into an obnoxious one. Lost’s Jack Shephard is a prime example: while he’s supposed to be a hero, what he really is is a frustratingly entitled manchild who just can’t quit whining for the life of him.
9. Rita Bennett from Dexter
For many people, overly dramatic characters have always been a bane of any show they were in, and we totally get it. Dexter is great, but Rita Bennett’s whiny drama queen attitude was a real killjoy for many fans, and some even claim they were glad when Rita was “finally” killed off and they could keep enjoying the show without her.

It is never easy to say goodbye to a show that you have watched for many years. Even though all the characters got their endings (or new beginnings), it can still feel like the show could have been so much more if it hadn't been cut short.
Unfortunately, there's nothing fans can do to bring the Grey's Anatomy spinoff, Station 19, back to ABC after it airs its final episode on May 30. What you can do, however, is honor the show by looking back at some of the highest-rated episodes of all time, as rated from great to excellent by IMDb.

It's time to say goodbye to Station 19, and I am not ready.
Station 19 Season 7 Episode 9 was the first half of a two-part series finale, and this episode was heartbreaking in all the worst ways.

Finding out that Vic would be leaving Seattle to run Crisis One in D.C. wasn't a shock, but the thought of Nineteen without her is hard.

It is absolutely unbelievable, but we've almost reached the end of Grey's Anatomy's twentieth season.
This week, tons of excitement is happening at Grey Sloan as the writers get us ready for next week's season finale.
Catherine has discovered the truth about what Meredith has been up to, and she's out for blood on Grey's Anatomy Season 20 Episode 9.
This week was pretty fast-paced, which was a nice change after a few slower episodes that focused more on surgical cases than character development.
The first big reveal of the hour was the return of Maggie Pierce, a divisive character the likes of whom we haven't seen in about a year.
People have strong feelings about this character and how she fits into the Grey's Anatomy universe, but I have always loved her.
I'll always be a sucker for the way the writers tied Meredith, Maggie, and Amelia together into a sisterhood,...

Caterina Scorsone and Kevin McKidd may not have been part of the original cast of Grey’s Anatomy. But in the last 15 years, between Grey’s and its two spinoffs, Private Practice and Station 19, Scorsone and McKidd have both logged enough hours in the O.R. to become two of the longest-lasting actors of the venerable ABC medical drama, which was recently renewed for a record-extending 21st season. (In the Grey’s universe, McKidd has played Dr. Owen Hunt in over 350 episodes; Scorsone has played Dr. Amelia Shepherd in over 280.)

George originated his role of Ben Warren in an episode of the sixth season of Grey’s Anatomy that aired in 2010 before spinoff show Station 19 launched in March of 2018.
Indeed, fans were stunned when news broke late last year that ABC would be ending the series after the current season. “It’s incredibly tough because it feels like we have so many more years in us,” George tells THR about Station 19 ending.
Still, the actor takes solace in knowing that his show’s team was able to prepare for the finale, which is not always the case for some series.

“White Collar,” the police procedural that concluded on USA in 2014, made its debut on Nielsen’s weekly streaming rankings with 717 million minutes watched during the April 22-28 viewing window, landing in the No. 8 position.
The decade-old show’s viewership bump is thanks to what has recently become known as the Netflix effect; the streaming service has seen big success licensing titles with high episode counts that have previously finished their runs on other platforms.
But unlike “Suits,” the best example of this for its historic Nielsen run in summer 2023, “White Collar” took three weeks to make it to the chart, having been added to Netflix on April 1. This is unusual, as titles like “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” and “Killing Eve” made the overall Top 10 immediately after their Netflix debuts as well, while “White Collar” hasn’t even been on the list of the Top 10 acquired titles before now.
Per Nielsen, however, the...

The finale of Shōgun pushed the series to its best showing so far on Nielsen’s streaming charts.
The FX-produced Hulu series had 608 million minutes of viewing time for the week of its finale, April 22-28. That’s a 45 percent jump from the prior week and Shōgun’s highest total in the nine weeks it has made the top 10. Its previous best was 513 million minutes for its premiere week, which featured the debut of two episodes.
Fallout claimed the overall No. 1 spot for the third straight week, the first such streak for a show on Amazon’s Prime Video. The series had 1.53 billion minutes of viewing, down by about 41 percent week to week. Its three-week total is now a little over 7 billion minutes.
Netflix’s water-cooler drama Baby Reindeer saw a 36 percent jump in viewing, climbing to 915 million minutes from 673 million a week earlier. Several original series also made...

Fallout was still blowing all its streaming competition out of the water in its third week of release.
From April 22 to 28, the video game adaptation scored 1.5B viewing minutes across all eight episodes, according to Nielsen’s streaming report. While that was down a hefty billion minutes from the week before, it was pretty comfortably above basically everything else on streaming that week.
It’s now the only Prime Video series to ever be in the top spot on Nielsen’s streaming list three times, consecutively or otherwise. Not even mega-hit Reacher managed that.
Second and third place went to, shocker, Bluey and Grey’s Anatomy. Both reached over 1B viewing minutes once again.
Meanwhile, buzz for Baby Reindeer was still growing as the Netflix series saw a 36% boost in viewership to No. 5 overall (up from No. 9 the week prior) with 915M viewing minutes.

Dystopian thriller “Leave the World Behind” was the most-watched film — and title overall — on Netflix globally in the second half of 2023, while anime-inspired live action series “One Piece” led on the TV side among individual series seasons.
The data comes from Netflix’s second edition of “What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report,” reflecting viewership on the streamer from July-December 2023 covering 99% of all viewing on Netflix. Subscribers across the world watched about 90 billion hours of Netflix in the second half of 2023, compared with 93 billion hours in the first half of the year.

There is no TV show that is realistic all the way through. To make even the most realistic stories work on screen, the writers have to cut some dialogue, motivations, or subplots. This is especially true for procedurals, where the basics of medical, fire, and police work are butchered to better fit the narrative.
While viewers probably won't notice any fundamental flaws unless they're involved in the same field, the most observant fan will find a lot of little details that pile up throughout the show.
From a few technical problems to plot inconsistencies, here are 10 things that never made sense on Grey's Anatomy.
Meredith’s House
As much as it's nice to see Meredith take in someone each season, the size of her house doesn't make sense. Somehow it easily fits her, three kids, and whoever else needs a place at the time.
Besides, when she first shared her house with other interns,...

Some folks prefer to spend their TV hours soaking up procedural dramas.
Others prefer a soapy historical fiction.
As for me, I will die on the hill that the mockumentary-style sitcom is the best genre on television.
There's no way to discuss every masterpiece, so we'll focus on a few examples of mockumentary shows.
Why do they work?
Let me count the ways. First, it's the absence of the fourth wall for me.
There's something special about creating a universe with characters and ever-so-slightly unrealistic situations and making your audience feel like they're part of it.
Take The Office, for example. When Jim looks directly into the camera after Michael or someone says something absurd, we get to be in on the joke.
Instead of being spectators stuck on the other side of the screen, it's like we're transported into the bullpen, nodding in understanding as Jim stares down the lens.

Kim Raver teed up the upcoming Season 20 finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” while on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Tuesday.
“There’s so much going on, it’s really exciting,” she said. “Where we are now, this season, because of the writers’ strike, we have 10 episodes when we normally have 20, so they kind of jam-packed everything into it. So Ellen [Pompeo] and I have a bunch of stuff in the last two episodes because it’s kind of coming full circle. There’s a great storyline on Teddy’s character kind of was helping her do something that maybe she shouldn’t be doing.”
Teddy (Raver) had been helping to fund Meredith’s (Pompeo) Alzheimer’s research after it was originally shut down at the beginning of the season. Teases for the final episodes hint that the pair’s secret project might be discovered.

Nearly two decades have passed since Grey’s Anatomy first opened the doors of Seattle Grace Hospital. It all started with the aftermath of a one-night stand: A guy picks up a girl at a bar the evening before her first day of work. And then the guy turns out to be her boss. That initial spark grew into an unforgettable TV romance. But what makes Grey’s Anatomy so special isn’t just that love story. The series was a fresh look at the medical drama, mixing personal complications with high-stakes medical procedures.

Some TV shows struggle to maintain consistently high quality writing and production over the course of a few seasons. When it comes to 10 years of the exact same story, fans can forgive the team a few lapses. With 20 seasons under its belt, the show becomes truly legendary, no matter what nonsense happens on screen.

Now, fans believe that the show's 21st season will likely be its last, if the show continues to move in the same direction.

Bad Boys apparently really are for life as it seems that this action-packed franchise isn’t ending anytime soon with Sony Pictures’ Bad Boys 4 set to reach theatres in just a couple months. This series, centered on detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett of the Miami Police Department, has already produced three blockbuster films that have grossed over $840 million as well as a spinoff television show, L.A.’s Finest, making it one of the most successful buddy-cop action-comedy series in history. The most recent film, Bad Boys for Life, was one of the last movies to hit theaters before the pandemic shut them all down and was able to be a critical and box office success – so why would the franchise stop now? Will Smith and Martin Lawrence (Lowery and Burnett) are back for the fourth film, and this is music to the ears of fans of the series since...

ABC recently unveiled its 2024-2025 primetime schedule, which sees the network airing just five scripted series, including new dramas “High Potential” and “Doctor Odyssey.” “Grey’s Anatomy” will shift one hour to the 10:00 p.m. slot on Thursdays while the network will mark the return of “The Wonderful World of Disney” to its schedule.
ABC
“Dancing with the Stars” will be moving to Tuesday nights so that the network can air consistent programming that won’t be interrupted by “Monday Night Football” broadcasts scheduled for select Mondays. Said Monday night programming options will be announced at a later date.
Following “Dancing with the Stars” will be “High Potential,” written by Oscar-nominated Drew Goddard and based on the popular French series. The crime procedural stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan, a single mom with an exceptional mind whose unconventional knack for solving crimes leads to an unusual and unstoppable partnership with a by-the-book seasoned detective.
