Actress Sophie Turner, 28, opened up about the challenges of being a mother in the public eye and reflected on the media’s portrayal of her personal life after her split from husband Joe Jonas, 34.
Turner, a mother of two young daughters, Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, shared her experience with the overwhelming pressure and the constant scrutiny she faces as a public figure in a candid interview with British Vogue.
In September 2022, Jonas filed for a dissolution of his and Turner’s four-year marriage in Miami, citing an “irretrievably broken” relationship. The couple had a prenuptial agreement in place. Turner later took legal action and alleged that Jonas was wrongfully retaining their daughters’ passports and preventing them from returning to England.
In response to claims that Jonas abducted their children, Jonas responded via his lawyer, who said Jonas wanted “shared parenting” of their children, and they were never “abducted.” The representative said,...

The Six Feet Under series finale is widely considered to be one of the greatest finales of all time. Just ask Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, who once wrote, “That [final] episode was far and away the best finale in the entire history of television, and I cannot imagine how anyone could possibly do better.” Series creator Alan Ball even said he still cries watching it.
It’s hard to argue with the brilliance of an episode that, like life itself, begins with a birth, ends with death, and fills its allotted time with love, pain, family, friendship, resignation, reunions, and tiny miracles like watching a newborn baby breathe.
Baby Willa arrives.
Brenda (Rachel Griffiths) gives birth to a daughter, Willa, at the start of the episode, with her mother-in-law, Ruth (Frances Conroy), by her side. But Willa’s not breathing on her own, and at a mere...

She told Kayce that she was doing volunteer work. “At a car wash?” asked her husband, appreciating the fit of her tank top in such a way that it was a wonder that he wasn’t late for work. Turned out, Monica had cast herself as a damsel in distress, bait for Sila’s murderer. She’d no sooner “broken down” on the side of the road than he’d picked her up, taken her to his private killing field and begun to...

Honor Swinton Byrne (“The Souvenir”) and Greta Bellamacina (“Tell That To The Winter”) are set to star in Jaclyn Bethany’s upcoming feature film “All Five Eyes.”
Co-written by Bethany and Bellamacina, the film tells the story of Marion (Swinton Byrne) and Cecily (Bellamacina) as they care for their disabled younger sister Willa. It is set to shoot in the U.K. in August.
Set in a small English village in 1967, liberated Marion is exploring the new social freedoms enjoyed by women in the late 1960s while conscientious and self-conscious Cecily runs the local girls school and is Willa’s main carer.
“Their differences reach a boiling point over their relationship with Willa, which leads to each sister making their own decision on what it means to have a life worth living,” reads the logline.
The screenplay was informed by Bellamacina’s own experience of caring for a child with autism.

Sophie Turner has successfully made it easier for her and Joe Jonas to proceed with their divorce.
Earlier this week, the 27-year-old Game of Thrones actress asked a New York judge to dismiss the “wrongful retention” custody lawsuit she filed against her estranged husband in September 2023.
In the lawsuit, Sophie demanded that Joe return their daughters Willa, 3, and Delphine, 1, to her custody. The lawsuit never progressed as they came to a temporary custody agreement shortly thereafter.

Although they were at odds at the time, the former couple has seemingly found common ground.

‘Game of Thrones’ star Sophie Turner has dropped the “wrongful retention” claims against her estranged husband, Joe Jonas, with regards to the custody of their two daughters. According to court documents, a US judge approved to dismiss the filing after both stars signed a consent plan that was approved by a UK judge last week, reports ‘People’ magazine.
Last September, Turner, 27, sued Jonas for wrongful retention. She alleged that Jonas, 34, was withholding their daughters’ passports and not allowing them to return to England. The former couple share Delphine, 18 months, and Willa, 3.
As per ‘People’, the complaint against the musician called for “the immediate return of children wrongfully removed or wrongfully retained”, with Turner’s legal team asserting the “wrongful retention” began on September 20. On Wednesday, Jonas and Turner agreed to have the filing dismissed “with prejudice, and without attorneys’ fees, expenses, costs and/or disbursements awarded to either party” after...

"Humans are the greatest weakness in any security system." Peacock has revealed an official trailer for a film called Bosco, a prison escape thriller based on a true story. Finally something that might just live up to the classic Escape from Alcatraz! Hopefully. Based on the true story of Quawntay "Bosco" Adams, who also produced the film. Sentenced to 35 years for attempted possession of marijuana, Adams miraculously escaped from a Federal maximum-security prison in 2006 while under 24-hour surveillance in solitary with the help of a woman he met through a lonely-hearts ad. This features a compelling cast including Aubrey Joseph as "Bosco", Nikki Blonsky as "Tammy", Tyrese Gibson as "Tootie", Vivica A. Fox as "Willa", Theo Rossi as "Ramos", and Thomas Jane as "Hunt". Bosco will feature original music from leading hip-hop artists, including Snoop Dogg, French Montana, The Game, Ddg, & more. Looks solid though probably not a new prison escape classic.

Joe Jonas, 34, is now dating model Stormi Bree, 33, a former Miss Tennessee Teen.
The two have been seen in the celebrity hot spots of Aspen, Colorado, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, in the past few weeks. They arrived at the private airport in Cabo this week dressed in casual attire.
On October 10, Jonas and his ex, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, reached a temporary custody agreement. After the former couple announced their divorce in September, news of a custody battle for their two daughters, Willa and Delphine, quickly followed.
Turner originally wanted to make England their “forever home,” something she allegedly agreed on with Jonas before the divorce. Jonas claims he never consented to that and wants to keep their daughters in the United States.

At the end of Meg Ryan’s beguiling and grown-up new romantic comedy What Happens Later, a simple dedication card shows on screen that says “For Nora.” And for star, director and co-writer Ryan, that says it all. After an eight-year absence from the screen, Ryan has returned, both in front of and behind the camera, to a genre that made her a huge star thanks also in large part to the late great Nora Ephron, whose trio of collaborations with Ryan — When Harry Met Sally (directed by Rob Reiner), Sleepless in Seattle and You’ve Got Mail — truly defined what a joyful experience a romantic comedy could be when in the right hands.
Ryan clearly learned at the altar of a master, and it is all on display in this lilting, wistful, magical and wise confection, a two-hander about an accidental reunion of two college lovers some 30 years older. They make a new,...

Meg Ryan and David Duchovny swung by “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Friday to talk all things rom-coms — including their new one together, “What Happens Later.”
Kelly Clarkson was shocked to find herself needing to remind Duchovny of a movie he starred in over 20 years ago, because it happened to be one of her favorites of the genre: “What!”
“So I have to say, you’re both in rom-coms that are so massively popular that people love and adore,” Clarkson began before getting cut off by the actor.
“But I’m not, she is,” Duchovny said, pointing to Ryan.
“You are!” Ryan responded, assuringly.
“‘Return to Me’ is like, one of my favorite… what?” Clarkson said in visible disbelief.
“Ok!” Duchovny said, conceding that he had, in fact, starred in a romantic comedy.

It makes sense that Meg Ryan would want to direct a romantic comedy like “What Happens Later” — her performances in “When Harry Met Sally,” “You’ve Got Mail” and others just about define the genre. So she knows a thing or two about capturing that spark between two fledgling lovers.
Speaking with TheWrap ahead of the movie’s Friday release thanks to its SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement, the rom-com icon said that the very best of the genre should center on characters that keep an audience “yearning.”
“You just want to root for them,” she said. “I want that feeling, to root for these two people, to know better than they do, as the audience, that they’re perfect together.”

Meg Ryan has returned to rom-coms, but sadly, even one she co-wrote and directed is not worthy of her charm. Ryan co-stars alongside David Duchovny in “What Happens Later,” based on the play “Shooting Star” by Steven Dietz. Ryan co-wrote the script along with playwright Dietz and Kirk Lynn; the film marks her sophomore directorial effort following 2015’s WWII drama “Ithaca.”
In the film, Ryan and Duchovny play two halves of the same whole — literally. Both star-crossed characters are named W. Davis, which the script reminds audiences every ten minutes or so in metronome-like precision. The first W. Davis, William, who goes by Bill (Duchovny), is a former poet and songwriter-turned-stockbroker whose youthful artistic hopes are rekindled after running into his ex-girlfriend, Willa (Ryan). Their bickering turns to banter turns to, yes, an inevitable return to romance as both W. Davises are stuck in a podunk airport 25 years after last seeing each other.
