Paramount Network announced Monday that Yellowstone has resumed production.
Filming on the Western hit’s final season five episodes has gotten underway in Montana.
While start of production was later than previously thought, MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios still expect the drama to return in November, as previously announced last year.
There was no update on the show’s cast — or whether star Kevin Costner will make an appearance in the final episodes that are expected to wrap the series.
Yellowstone aired it last episode more than a year ago — in January, 2023 — amid Paramount Network deciding to split the season into two parts. Talks of infighting over scheduling and script delays between Costner and showrunner Taylor Sheridan ensued for many months, with Costner also focusing on his upcoming Western epic Horizon: An American Saga. The cast and crew had been planning to resume filming in March 2023 with an announced summer premiere date,...

Heidi Gardner knew that “Saturday Night Live” Beavis and Butt-Head sketch was taking off after a chat with a lifelong friend.
“My friend Michelle, I’ve known her since second grade,” Gardner told IndieWire during a recent interview. “It was really cute after ‘Beavis and Butt-Head,’ she was like, ‘I loved seeing you laugh in that sketch because I know that laugh.’ And [I said], ‘Yeah, that’s because we’ve laughed like that for so many years.’ That’s what is special to me about [the sketch]. Georgie & Mandy’s First Marriage, the spinoff of the recently concluded Young Sheldon, which was a spinoff of The Big Bang Theory, is an opportunity for producers to tell new stories involving Georgie Cooper (Montana Jordan) and his wife Mandy (Emily Osment), the older brother and sister-in-law of Sheldon Cooper now that his tales have been chronicled. TV Insider caught up with executive producer/head writer Steve Holland, Jordan, and Osment on the Paramount lot at a press event to kick off the new Fall TV season to preview the CBS sitcom, which will appear both familiar and new to viewers. “There wasn’t a grand plan behind it,” Holland tells us about why the characters of Georgie and Mandy were chosen to be spun off from Young Sheldon. He says the idea came about after the producers, including series creator Chuck Lorre, watched the two actors and saw their delightful chemistry.

“Bridgerton” Season 3 is off to a steamy hot start.
The third season of the Shondaland period drama drew 45.1 million views over its first four days of availability, according to Netflix, easily finishing first on the streamer’s Global Top 10 list. Take that, Tom Brady roast.
It was the biggest week — by quite a bit — for any series on Netflix since the streamer changed its core metric from hours viewed to views in mid-June 2023.
The first four “Bridgerton” Season 3 episodes reached number 1 in 78 countries and the Top 10 in 92, Netflix said. The next four episodes premiere on June 13; try not to obsess over the big cliffhanger between now and then.
The third season of “Bridgerton” also brought the first two back to (some semblance of) their former glory. “Bridgerton” Seasons 1 and 2 both returned to Netflix’s Top 10 TV (in any language) list in the week ahead of Season 3. They did even better during Season 3’s premiere week.

Four months after premiering, Taylor Tomlinson’s After Midnight is making some changes that bring it a little bit closer to the traditional late-night talk shows.
While episodes of the comedy panel show have historically started with the host standing behind her podium and introducing the night’s panelists, last night’s show opened with Tomlinson performing a 7-minute trending-topic monologue, complete with some comedy club-style crowd work.
“Everyone wants to cut down on their screen time, so we’re here to help. We have rounded up the biggest stories from the internet,” Tomlinson explained as she kicked off a roundup of social media videos, “so you can chat with your barista tomorrow and be informed.”
Tomlinson riffed on Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s discriminatory college commencement speech, a viral video of kids excited to visit Four Seasons Orlando, and JoJo Siwa getting drunk at Disney World.

The hosts of The View brought one of the more controversial figures in talk media into the fold of their “Hot Topics” discussions on Tuesday, welcoming Real Time host Bill Maher to the table to talk about his coverage of the 2024 presidential election cycle so far on his HBO late-night series. “You’re a comic, but you basically go up against Trump and Biden, both of them, and a lot of people are not happy about that,” Joy Behar said at the start, to which Maher clarified, “Well, not equally.” “Well, not equally,” Behar agreed, “Because you know that Trump is more of a danger.” “Of course!” Maher conceded. “I don’t think anybody was more out front on that danger than I was. I was talking about how he was never going to give up power long ago when everybody was laughing at me and said, ‘You smoke too much pot,...

Timing is everything — and where Yellowstone is concerned, it seems to have had everything to do with Kevin Costner’s departure as the Dutton family’s beleaguered patriarch, John. The great guest stars continue running to Walker! In the past few weeks, Jared Padalecki‘s Texas Ranger drama has welcomed the returns of Matt Barr and his fellow Walker: Independence costar Justin Johnson Cortez, who has been heating up Austin as Det. Luna. And now, the CW hit that had better be renewed is about to get a visit from some major TV royalty. TV Insider has learned exclusively that SAG award-winning and Emmy-nominated actress Sharon Lawrence (from the equally Western-tinged Joe Picket) is set to debut in the May 22 episode, “Witt’s End,” as a barrel raced-turned-crime boss named Joanna. Described as “a killer in Wranglers,” the only thing that surpasses the villain’s “greedy grit and tenacity is her vendetta against those that have wronged her.” Who that may be remains a mystery, but we’re betting it’s someone with in the Walker camp—especially...

Spike Feresten got his start in comedy while working as a receptionist at Saturday Night Live, where he began submitting jokes to then “Weekend Update” anchor Dennis Miller. Before long, as many as five of his jokes were making it to air in a given week.
From there he was hired as a staff writer on Letterman, then Seinfeld (we have Feresten to thank for “The Soup Nazi” and “Little Kicks”), and then ABC’s legendary Dana Carvey Show, where his colleagues included Robert Smigel, Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, and Louis C.K.
But among comedy nerds, he may be most revered for hosting his own talk show, Talkshow With Spike Feresten, which aired Saturday nights on Fox from 2006-2009. When “Agatha All Along” premieres on Disney+ in September, the series will not open with the traditional Marvel Studios logo — as has been the case with (almost) every previous series from the Kevin Feige-led division since “WandaVision” premiered in 2021. Instead, the company is rebranding its streaming efforts as Marvel Television for live-action series and Marvel Animation for its animated shows, which launched with the just-concluded first season of “X-Men ’97.”
The rebrands are meant to help Marvel disabuse audiences from the pervasive impression that its content is one unified narrative experience that must be consumed in its totality.

“Hockey players don’t make excuses.” That’s how the trailer for Season 3 of Letterkenny‘s Sudbury-based spinoff Shoresy starts off. And this third outing will really test that theory for the men’s Senior Aaa hockey team, the Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs, as they compete in the National Senior Tournament. The quick-thinking Hulu comedy is led by series creator Jared Keeso as the foul-mouthed hockey captain and “dirtiest player of all time,” Shoresy. Over the past two seasons, we’ve seen a lot of growth from the original Letterkenny character who wasn’t shown onscreen — except for his ankles poking out from underneath the doors a bathroom stall while he waxed poetic about *insert nasty and rude thing here*. Now, Shoresy’s diverse foster family, his desire to settle down with one particular lady and his demand that all his players always call their parents has rounded out the...

Paramount+’s philosophical horror drama begins its fourth and final season—ending far too soon for its many fans. What can we expect? To start, the psychopathic devil-worshiping Leland (Michael Emerson) is not enjoying raising Timothy, the puking, pooping infant, born via surrogate from a purloined egg from Kristen (Katja Herbers) that he self-fertilized and whom he believes to be the Antichrist. He’s not the only one with issues, however. All three of the Catholic Church’s exorcist assessors are going through a lot. Confirmed atheist Ben (Aasif Mandvi) “has a real crisis of faith—in science and medicine, after suffering from migraines and visions,” says Evil executive producer Robert King. “His arc is moving from a true belief in science and medicine to how much of life is a mystery beyond that.” “David [Mike Colter] is clearly struggling with his attraction to Kristen,” King continues. “But even more...
